Hydrovac bullcrap
Any help would be great! First off I believe I have a series 2 hydro?

anyways my service manual shows three points to bleed the hydo and the spot where I'm pointing with my pen is the only spot I could find on the rear and my manual shows what looks like a series 1 hydo and not 2

The hose I'm pointing to here is the atmospheric line and my dad thinks the vacuum line should be here and the atmospheric one on the other one instead but I think I have it right but it won't run but I don't have a check valve on it yet, the brakes are only kinda purged and the hydro did not have the third point bled although I tried. I used I vacuum type bleeder and my dad thinks I need to do it the manual way anyway and the guy at my auto parts store thinks I should put the check valve in the hydro and not manifold which makes me wonder which is right in that regard?

You got it! see my comments on your Flicker photos. I'll also send you a couple of pages that I scanned from my hydrovac service manual, which conveniently shows a third gen hydrovac... Send me your email address and I'll forward the pdf files to you. It looks to me like the hydrovac might have been put together with the top plate (nearest the cab) rotated 90 degrees. The pipe (vacuum) which is coming out on the drivers side (at the three o'clock position looking at the hydro from the top) usually comes out at the bottom (the six o'clock position). Probably not a big deal...
the check valve is usually located near the carb or manifold, rather than attached to the hydrovac.

I put that pipe on like that,the rebuild shop left it and the fitting for the air line off when I got it back and I knew the check valve didn't go on the booster.
