Spark plug wires lenght ???

Post by thierryb »

I plan to change the spark plug wires of my cckw353 and want to make the set with black vintage wire I found on a roll. I would need the correct length of each of the 6 wires going from distributor to spark plugs + the one that goes from coil to distributor. Can someone help?

Many thanks in advance, Thierry.

I probably did mine wrong, but I removed each wire one at a time and cut the new wire to length, replaced it on the engine then removed another and cut it to length. I really don't know what the original length was in WWII. :D

Armydriver,

Your suggestion would be great if I would have the original old wires but mine are some red civilian supply wires, all the same length...
Steve, you pictures are very nice and are exactly what I was looking for. I will use these lengths as my reference. I’m just wondering if they are different types of wires. I always though there was a 90° angle suppressor on the spark plug side!?!?! In this set we have straight connectors !?!?
One more question, Steve : is the wire with the 90° angle connector the one that goes from the coil to the distributor?

Many thanks for your replies,

Thanks,
