GROSS WEIGHT 1943 cckw 352-B1 ???

What is the correct GROSS WEIGHT to put on a data plate of a 1943 cckw352-B1 (shorte wheelbase with winch, open cab, iron body) ???

Gross weight according to Boniface and Jeudy would be 9548kgs.

That sounds a bit heavy, isn't it??? maybe Boniface and Jeudy had the wrong calculator :D :D :D

On my 1941 closed cab cckw352 the Gross weight is 16.100Lbs

I just wondered if it is the same weight on an open cab truck ???

I agree with you, it sounds a bit on the heavy side to me. They don't quote any differences between cab types and since the plate is missing off my ex French soft cab I have nothing else to refer to.

TM9-2800 tells us: 15.100 lb without winch and 16.000 lb with winch and open cab.

So the closed cab may be 100lbs heavier than the open cab…. Makes sense 8) 8) 8)
