Post by Harold Frazee »

I have come acrossed several WWII light boxes. These where either mounted on a vehicle, hand held or mounted on any structure. They have several different markings that can be inserted into them, such as,FUEL,RR,SLOW,WATER and any assortment of letters and numbers. These are NOS and in decent shape.Does anyone have any informatoin on these???

I might be able to help here, I've got instructions for
Illuminated light box (US Army Specification No. 12-24)
If it looks like this then I can supply you with the instruction for use card.
I've also got a full set of the paper inserts which I could possible list for you.

Regards

Steve

Light Box

Very Interesting.

How are they marked? Is it a US item or British?

Man, just when you thought you had a "complete collection" of something
somebody finds a new bit of kit that you have to have!

It never ends. And I love it that way.

These are US made.I am offering these for $50.00 a piece. They are NOS.They have been in storage some 40+ years. They are dirty and have some surface rust,But they are complete.I have restored one and it came out real nice.(By restore I mean a good cleaning and a coat of paint)
