Hi @all,
is it true, that the CCKW Fuel tanker (750 US gal) had no trailer coupling in WW2 ?
All pictures I have found of Fuel Tankers with trailer coupling were from restored vehicles. In fact I have even found pictures of restored Fuel Tankers withou the coupling.
A friends of mine claims to have seen a picture of a vehicle during the Korea War with a trailer coupling.
Do you have any closer information about this issue ?
Thank you very much in advance !
Bye, Dirk

Re: CCKW Fuel tanker (750 US gal) no trailer coupling ?
I have seen pictures of tankers on Saipan towing a converter dolly with a tractor-trailer type tanker.
I will check my tanker the next time I go over to my other barn (23 miles away).
