New WWII movie...The other Airborne Division.

One of our European friends sent me this info.

Currently in pre-production is a new movie about a June 1944 battle involving the 82nd Airborne. It will be called "No better place to Die" and is about the battle at La Fiere bridge. Supposedly it is a screen play based on the book by Bob Murphy.

In charge of production is Retired USMC Captain Dale Dye. Dye is and has been used as technical adviser in Band of Brothers and Pacific. He was "drafted" during BOB to be Col. Sink in the movie. He has had many walk on parts, including one in Saving Private Ryan and The Great Raid. He has also collaborated on voice overs and historic technical advice in Video Games. Looks promising that this movie should be technically and historically correct. Any further information about the movie is very scarce.

From what I can read on the web it looks like Murphy was there with the 505th PIR. Should be a good flick. Release in 2010.
