Got a call the other day. It seems that when I did the movie Ashecliffe/Shutter Island last summer with my 43 GPW, they did not get all the sound right. So today my wife, and one of the other participants with a WC went back to the main filming site in Medfield Mass. WOW has that place changed! The 1/4 mile of "brick" wall is gone and come to find out, the main entrance to the main building was fake too! I did not realize this during the shooting.

Anyways, I drove the Jeep over hill and dale. Through the woods, on paved roads and dirt roads. Screeching to a stop and accelerating through the gears.

So when you see the movie, the "Jeep sounds" are mine! And I laughed some more on my way to the bank :D

I have seen the movie twice now. I am pretty sure the GPW is in it for 5 seconds when they walk out of the main building after the hurricane it is on the right in the background. I am pretty sure because it was the only Jeep on the set with numbers on the hood.

I am also pretty sure they added the Jeep in electronically. The big fortress behind it was also added in.

If you click on the link below, Google-Earth will show the movie set in Medfield MA right at the beginning of the hooting in 2008.
