Hello All,
Just few words to say that I appreciate you all. I'm little bit drunk after an excellent supper with a Colonel friend of mine and many glasses of Calva (souvenirs from Normandy) and we remembered the whole evening all lucky that we had known veterans of World War II. We are fortunate to share this passion for the WWII military vehicles and thanks to this veterans of this era to whom we owe so much. Not without them they would have been possible to share that friendship with trans-border enthusiasts like Dr. Deuce, Armydriver, ABN CCKW, John Cliche, Retro-Roco, Bill Wolf, KEVINABR, G506, SpookyDad, John Dalimore, Barry Churcher, Canadian Gunner and all our friends in USA, Canada, UK, and Europe who come on this forum. Thank you all who are important to me and helps me keep alive my passion for WWII military vehicles.
God bless you all from Canada and I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2010
I appreciate you all

Guy, the men in Quebec are made from stronger stuff than us guys from Ontario. Two guys polishing off a bottle of Calvados is more than I can imagine. After one small glass my head was swimming. Remind me never to get into a drinking contest with you. The next time you drop by I will make sure you and Janet have wine and I will go for a Pepsi.
All the best to you and your family for the New Year.
Barry

We're not stronger, just more stupid Never I drink so much and usually we must drink just one glass of calvados after the meal. In Normandy, they call it the "Trou Normand" (Normand hole)and it's supposed to open your appetite for the dessert. In Belgium, they call this liquor the "Belgian Killer" and I think it's a Canadian Killer too
A typical Norman specialty is to make an ounce of Calvados in a bowl of lemon sorbet. A pure delight and that's at this time we must be careful not to drink the whole bottle The next time I'll be with you, I'll make the sorbet and Calvados for you and Janet to enjoy this dessert together.
All the best for you too
