Was curious about this truck...

I was curious about the 5th wheel attachment on a truck that I saw on ebay. Is this original WW2 or is this some kind of post war mod? I have no knowledge on these trucks at all. http://tinyurl.com/6g4rq
I saw that, and the only thing I do know about this version of truck, that if it is infact original, I hear these are rare. Am I right on that?

Bubba done got a 60 year head start on this one, only the Data Plate will answer the original configuration of the truck.

Not my trucks. Just a little reconn for you.

I've looked at the trucks. Both were cargos less winch.

The frame on the 5th wheel truck has been cut at 45 deg, so no rear crossmember. No spare carrier, but the gas tank is there. No glass. Engine looks complete with W-1 carb, horn and etc.

The other truck had the frame cut and rewelded just behind the gas tank. The right side frame horn has been cut just forword of the spring mount.

Thank you for looking at those trucks. It doesnt sound like they are very good. That's ok, I would rather have an opeb cab cckw anyway. I just thought they were interesting because of the fifth wheel.

If you had a good bare frame and cab, they may be worth $600 just for the parts.
