ebay truck

Post by 42cckw »

This truck is indeed a late 1941 December production starting the month with 64,402 and ending with 68,269.This truck with a 65,447 ser # put its within the first weeks run. Notice the del date isn't untill feb of 42 yet the truck was mfg within the first week of dec 41. This is the closest I have seen to my trucks ser # and production date being the following month of January 1942.The truck is a little more than I would want to tackle but at a $100 dollar starting price it would be worth it for parts as long as you don't have to haul it far.I do take exception to the owners statement that on a cckw truck web site there are no 1941 or 1942 trucks restored. To which site he was reffering to he did not say.Obviously he hasn't seen this site

I'am glad to see I wasn't the only one, that was upset about his statement of none this early have been restored on this site, especially since I have one 1941 restored, and have a picture on this site as well,, maybe he doesn't think it was restored, I guess I should have done a better job..Mick
