I would love to restore something like this but..im a amature and to much project for this kid right now.

As Joel pointed out..I do have the GMC 256...close to being a drop in engine and very rare.

Im headed to the donate button today and may this site forever remain up and active. Without you fellas and your knowledge I would be lost.

Thanks Steve for the email about your "new" truck. I've been out of the Mil truck loop too long.

Most of you probably have heard of the "Six degrees of separations". That means that within 6 people, you know everyone in the world:

You know someone (1) who knows someone (2), who knows someone (3), who knows someone (4), who knows someone (5), who knows someone (6).

Well, last weekend my wife and I were at one of her antique Scotty travel trailer rallies. She was showing someone pictures of the GPW Jeep on the movies set and explaining how we have mostly larger military vehicles like the CCKW deuce and a halfs. The person she was explaining this to, says he has a WW2 deuce also; an ACKWX-353!!!!!!!!!!

That is right: He has an ACKWX-353 cab and chassis in decent condition from the way he describes it (I am awaiting pictures)

That makes 4 or 5 that I know of.

So this six degrees of separation, is really 2 degrees when it comes to HMVs.....

I just got pictures. Nice condition for an unrestored truck! This one is a 5 speed.
