Very nice Nick....

Right up my alley. Because besides me doing the CCKW.org site I also have a site about WW2 Fire Equipment. http://www.armyfiretrucks.com.

I currently have 4 Fire Trucks in various states of restoration. A G-506 325 which is about 95% done with 95% left to do. 2 G-506 325 basket cases and a Chevy 1.5 Ton USAAF crash truck which was originally stationed at Joel's beloved Dow Field in Bangor ME.

I believe this is an almost unmodified Korean War era model 530 pumper. It would have been a cargo truck dragged out of storage sometime after WWII and the fire body installed. The body, hose reel postition and construction of the tank section looks original. The pump looks original too.

The only thing I can see that is not is of course the emergency lighting, roll bar, radio equipment and the front Bumper.

This is truly a very, very, rare piece!

If she was closer to New Hampshire she would be mine...But trucking expenses are prohibitive.

Unfortunately by the questions already on the auction site it looks like it is poised to go to some bubba who will use it for who knows what. What a loss and a damn shame!

Good Start for a Cab and Chassis, the Wood Sreering Wheel seems to be the smaller one, must be a replacement for whatever reason.
