I wish I had some extra cash right now I would buy that truck. My wife insisted on new furniture instead of me getting a closed cab early truck. Rats

rgus, What can you tell me about your truck that's not already listed on ebay? I have a friend in KY that's looking for one. Did you put the bed on? as it looks like a van body truck. How long have you owned it? Thanks Tim

Tim; Truck came from Tenn. Had been owned by a Fire Department in that neck of the woods. I took it in on partial trade for an M-20. The guy that brought it said he drove it 26 miles to his friend's house that had a trailer. The bed is correct WW2 but it is a 1943 bed. The correct 1942 bed would have had a steel bed and this one has a wooden bed. I suppose you could pull the wood out and weld in a sheet of steel to make it right. Steve or Joel could tell you for sure. I do not know when or how the truck and bed came togeather. By the looks of it the bed has been mounted on this truck for years. The previors owner told me he was told the truck left the factory with no bed so it did have a speciality bed on it at one time. I suspect a shop body but there is no way to tell for sure. The frame is undamaged, uncut, and rustfree. This will be a simple truck to restore basically stripping and painting is it. I hate to sell it and kind of hope it doesn't sell as this is the bosses idea. She is afraid of it's size and doesn't want me restoring it. I guess she is afraid I will drop the bed on my foot. If it doesn't sale I can shrug my shoulders and tell her honey I tried. Maybe then she will back off of it.

Interesting truck.I agree shop van originally,it looks like it has the holes on the bumper for the folding legs and I wonder if those extra braces for the front fenders are original?

Does the chassis number give any clues or does it just end -2? either way nice truck,I wish it were closer!!
