Great looking trailer. Just climb into that new pickup, hook on to trailer and drive on to Texas, spend the night at my house on the way, drive over get the trailer, make another stop in SA then home.

It is possible that it is upgraded to 24Volt Electrical, note the late USA reg that came into being around 56-57 U.S.A was changed to U.S. Army on all vehicles. It takes an old fart like me to pick up on these things. remember it is all relative, those books with prices are for dreamers, reality is the real fact of life for MV ownership, deep pockets help. The Stork does not have a roadmap.

The only problem AD is that this will not fit on my car trailer. It is too wide to go between the fenders..

And Joel I believe you are correct about voltage. It also has the Mid 50's tailight housings.

Lets see at 12 mpg for 6000 miles with Diesel @ 2.50 per gallon.

Nice trailer but above budget....I will wait for something closer.

I know what you mean. I am picking up a steel CCKW dump bed in Mobile Alabama this weekend that I accidently bought on Ebay and the trip costs will be more than the cost of the bed due to fuel costs.

They are a little tank at about 5100 lbs! I can tell when my searchlight trailer is behind my cargo CCKW. Then throw in the Airborne dozer....

They look GREAT behind a CCKW and will carry a Weasel (Bill)

I wonder if they were indeed using 24 volts, what they did with the brakes? They are 6 volts and are all wired in parallel.

I use 12 volts and have the two sides wired in series with each other to keep the magnetic force applied by the armatures and current the same. To do 24 volts, you would have to wire all for of them in series or have one BIG resistor!
