hello

i am christophe and i lve in FRANCE (METZ IN LORRAINE )
i restaure a GMC 353 . serial number : 297850 b2 .
my english is not very good but i can always learn !
i want to transform my jimmy in 353 lot 7 .
the hoist is a WRIGHT (1,5 t ) and the gallows is a fabrication to CARNEGIE .

Welcome to the forum! There are several people looking for an original Set 7 manual,myself included! it seems to be the "holy grail" of CCKW manuals!.

Hi Christophe, there are pictures in the book ' Le GMC, un camion universel' by Boniface et Jeudy published by EPA Paris, there is also an English language version published by Haynes. As far as I know they are both out of print now but copies can be found on Amazon etc.

BTW: If you install a #7 you cannot carry you MB/GPW in the back...

DEGSY i have already the book : GMC un camion universel .
it's wellknow in france . (the langage is in french : it's better for me !! )
it's a old good book but the pictures of gmc are frequently of the french army !
i know never if my restoration is original or not original !
it's a big problem for me !
dr DEUCE : in france , we are many collectors of american military vehicles .
many vehicles are equiped with arms .
my but : i want a different vehicles !
i'm in association (www.moselleriver.org)
i participe for commemorate of liberation .
i want make with my truck ,procession only .
it' a big program !

but the american veterent are very happy to see us !
