I've always wanted a Ford GPW Jeep (blasphemy I know! although if anyone knows where I could get one [preferrably in AZ] thats not too expensive [under $5000] I'd love to know!).
I've also always been fascinated by the CCKW, unfortunatly I don't think I'll ever be lucky enough to own one (no room or money for one
)I do, though, build plastic model kits as part of my hobby, and soon will be building a model of the CCKW open cab truck (boy am I glad I found this site, so much reference material!). I'll post pics of my little truck for sure!
I live in the hot state of Arizona, and would love to hear from anyone else who might live in the state, maybe we could meet up and I could see these wonderful trucks in person for the first time.
It's always been a dream of mine to own a Jeep and CCKW fully restored to WWII specs, maybe, someday, that dream might come true...
