1943 Closed Cab CCKW 2 1/2 Ton (G-508) Truck For Sale - $1500

This truck is still available. I am reposting it at a much reduced price.

Serial #: 190135-F1
Location: Southbury, CT

This is the CCKW-353 Long Wheel Base, 164 inches. The Signal Corps Van body is long gone and a M35 cargo body with a steel deck has replaced it. This model was installed with a Timken axle.

Serial number reearch indicates this truck was produced around March, 1943. This would have placed it as one of the last 2000 trucks of the closed cab series.

The two engine compartment side panels have CHEVROLET stampings. The panels must have been swapped in the motor pool. The truck retains the mesh metal screen for protecting the glass on the rear window and the CCKW logo on the front grill. The gas tank under the seat has been relined and the fuel lines replaced. A record of additional restoration work can be provided. The front windshield is not currently installed to protect it from breakage.

Though not installed, the vacuum brake booster cylinder is included the sale. Extras that will included are a spare set of cab doors for a Model 1941 truck cab and and external gas tank.
