CCKW Cab Seats

We had our open cab CCKW at a WWII veterans tribute event in Green Bay WI over the weekend.
There were several bus loads of WWII veterans and many hung around the vehicles and told stories.
Two old infantry vets were standing by our truck with their heads inside the cab and they seemed to be studying the interior very carefully. I said hello and asked if they had driven GMC's? They said they both had traveled lots of miles in them. Then they both looked at each other and started laughed. They said "we just wanted to see what the front seat was like, cuz we never saw anything except the seats in back". As old ground pounders they agreed they sure were always happy to get a ride just the same.
