Transfer Case
I'm looking for a transfer case, I live in Illinois. I would prefer one with the linkage for the shifters, but the shifters themselves aren't important.

>I thought the split and banjo refered to the Axles?

It does and the transfercase too.
Which is better? There is probably a difference of opinion on that.
If you have a high HP engine, you might want to consider an M35 case instead. A lot of guys with the big rigs that run over/jump cars etc use the M35 axles

Here's what I'm working towards. www.tremormuv.com
I have decided that I need a divorced transfer case, because it would make tranny choices easier, The reason I'm thinking about a CCKW case, is that it has a separate 4x4 lever and low range lever. My engine will be a 6.2 diesel.

The M35 fits your need it is divorced like the CCKW and will take more torque too. It would be a safrr choice

I have a nice Timken(Rockwell) Transfer for the Spilt axle, that has the shifting arrangement you seek. It is gov't rebuilt, and I get 65% discount on truck freight, Also have a NOS NP X-Fer for M-715. M-Series will not have Mechanical declutch Mechanism to go in/out of FWD, and is 150+ lb heavier.

I tried a few times, and the phone was busy. I may be able to give you better advice in a day or two, you do not really need a military transfer, the person who is my expert on Mud/pulling trucks is out of town til Tues. I have seen light duty Rockwells as used in the IH 4WD trucks of 50s-70s used with 500HP with out fail. I have NOS M-715 New Process X-fers that will do the Job also. Will call later. I only average a couple hours a day to be active, due to bad surgery in Army, and I sometimes run out of steam, the phone calls suffer too.
