Ben Hur brake show springs

Post by dr deuce »

I went to move my Ben Hur cargo trailer the other day with the backhoe and come to find out, one wheel will not go forward :(

I have to assume that the brake return spring is broken inside. It will rotate backwards OK.

The CCKWs also exhibit this "feature" when a return spring breaks. The shoe(s) move outward and act like a one way clutch.

QUESTION: Seein' where I will have to fix this in the spring, who carries replacements (or something close) for that spring?

Thanks

I might have something in my spare parts.

There are several springs inside.

I believe either "E" or "F" is what you are looking for.
