Wooden Ben Hur Help.

Post by 33rdsignal »

Hello all,
I just purchased a Wooden ben hur made by Nash Kelvinator. I was wonderig if anyone had detalied pics of the location of the Tail light brackets, the E brake handle, the locations of the cargo top tie downs.

Also does anyone know of a place to get the tie downs, as well as the light brackets. I also need rims and locking rings.

Thanks for the help.

Congratulations on the purchase.

There is a gent that reproduced Wood Tail light brackets. I will try and find his email.

The parking brake handle is located at the right rear of the trailer. There should be holes already drilled for the mounts and one underneath for the pivot.

I restored a Wood trailer. If you PM me your direct email I can email you the pictures of the measurements I took before I removed the hooks from the rotted wood body.

As far as a hook source I have no idea.

Rims are the same as any CCKW. Watch for rust.

Tom Campbell has reproduced the taillight brackets for the wooden trailers. I think he told me 35.00 a pair. Goodle Tom Campbell radio mounts and I think you will get his websight. I have a steel, would love a wood trailer also.
