Painting New Wood Trailer Body

I'm finally getting ready to re assemble the wood body on my 1 Ton Hobbs cargo trailer.
We used the old body planks for patterns and have the new material - all oak, sized, planed and well seasoned.
Question #1 - Do you treat the new lumber with anything like boiled linseed oil before painting with OD enamel?
Question #2 - for those who have rebuilt a wood body, did you paint the new wood parts before assembly or assemble the body and then overpaint the assemblied trailer? Or both?
Question #3 - Apply paint by brush or spray?
Any other advice on assembling a wood cargo bed with new lumber?
Thanks
