Sgt Frosty has had enough of winter
It's official! The last 3 inches of snow on Thursday night passed the all time record of 84 inches for snow fall here in North East Wiscosnsin. Normal is 32 inches. 83.7 inches was previous record in 1886.
No work done in the shop on MV's here since November. All we do is plow snow.
I was going to get the CCKW cranked up today but Sgt Frosty and I had no end of troubles. CCKW blocked in by M37. M37 not running because we had borrow battery to replace dead battery in plow tractor. Sgt frosty left the tractor light switch on after last night plow mission.
We used an ax to chop the ice loose from the bottem of the shed doors.
Fired up my wife's M-151 so Frosty I could take a little ride in an MV. Even a Jeep is better than nothing.
Snow is plowed and piled everywere. The CCKW will remain frozen in the shed for a few more weeks. Sure hope spring comes soon. From these photo's you will see that the snow is higher than the Jeep top.
Think Spring

I know how you feel. We're at 89 point something inches, average around 35" and previous record of 76". I haven't even tried to start any of the trucks lately. Just gonna wait 'till the snow melts, if it ever does. Been plowing a lot of years and I've never been this sick of it and this ready for spring! I don't care much for the snowman, but your wife has a good looking M151. Hang in there, it'll be warm soon.

Even though invited... "Al" pulled a "no-show" so my son and I did the roof of my car garage. Near the end our Golden Retriever was even up there with us. No ladder necessary.

Wow, now that is some real snow. Thanks for the photos guys, it really brings home to me why I live in South Texas. The trees are all budded out here now and temps in the high 70's and not a single flake of snow this year. I did see some flakes last year though.
Stay warm guys.

and to think I had the mind to gripe. our graaand total of 18 inches so far this year..im tired of sweeping the snow of the walk... yesterday it shot up to 55 here in INdiana..so far so lucky. several boughts of freezing rain.
Spring could come tomarrow and it will be May before all of your snow melts away..then followed by soggy mud and slush for you fellas.

I am sure glad I live in Texas. I think it has snowed near Houston twice in 20 years and and maybe 5 times that I can remember ever. I sure feel for you guys. It was near 78 on Saturday here and it so cold here now that it might reach 50 tonight...thats might. I am told that after tonight we will start to warm up. As for snakes...well you are right about that. I have lived here in Hockley for 18 years. During the summer you NEVER pick up anything off the ground unless you are able to check around it first. I have killed over 50 copperheads here in those 18 years. Yet, we run or WWII re-enactments out in here on occasions and no one has ever been snake bit that I am aware of.

Not had a lot of snow here in the Midwest , only a lot of very cold days and nights a number of days at 0-10 degrees F and a equal number of nights -10 to +5 degrees F .
I m sure there are other members where the temps have been worse ....any one from the upper Midwest or Alaska???? who will fill all of us in on the REAL Winter weather ????
