Early Chevy 1 1/2 ton value

Post by Harold Frazee »

I have come across a very early Chevy. It has the serpentine grille and says CHEVROLET on each side engine cover. The truck does run ,I believe it is the original engine. No brakes,And the cab is a bit beat up.The truck does not have a bed or data plates. Also about 10" of the rear frame has been cut off as well as the bumperettes and pintle hook.Im curious about what this is worth. The owner thinks he has a gold mine !!!

Sounds like a parts truck worth little more than junk steel

I agree with Dr Deuce on the value :(

A runner with a correct bed and 95% complete recently sold for $ 2500.00 here on the east coast .( this may help you determine value )

Hope this helps

While I was there looking at the truck I offered him $900.00.Only because it was a early truck that runs.I really didnt think it was worth that much,Maybe,$500.00 possibly $600.00.The cab is real beat up on top.He told me and I quote "At that price I will probably keep it forever".Which means to me that it will rot into the ground where it sits. What is wrong with people???

I/we see them ALL the time. It is a go anywhere army truck....

Actually, bring him a copy of MV mag or Supply Line and show him the $$ for the M35's. It MIGHT change his mind...
