M-1 Searchlight Trailer

This was the model G-221 trailer that was used to transport search lights. It had a manual winch mounted on the front of the trailer which was operated by large hand wheels. The M-1 drawbar hae a flexible tongue which would split allowing the back of the trailer to drop down to facilitate the loading of a 4 wheel search light dolly. The winch would pull the searchlight into the trailer and the weight shift would level the trailer off to the point where it again could be locked.

The M-1 also had the additional side piece bolted on the the top to make the trailer sides appear higher. This trailer was equipped with 4 leveling jacks.
