Drain cock for gas sediment filter

Post by Capt Lee P »

I installed a brass drain cock in the base of the gas filter where the brass plug belongs. As we all know, taking the brass plug out to drain the sediment from the fuel filter is kindly hard to reach with the splash pan in place. With a drain cock (I know it is not how it was done from the factory) it is easy to drain. I also installed a rubber gas line from the drain cock so it runs pass the splash pan and drains easily to the ground.

Great idea Cap. That will save some skinned knuckles and also a mess on the splash pan. Thanks. :D

That rates right up there with the oil filter return line going to the fuel pump bolt . :x
