Wiring Harness to rear tailights

Does anyone have a good photo showing how the wiring is supposed to be run to the rear lights?

I am installing my VWofM harness and want to do it right. The old one was not original and was heavily modified - along with being moounted on the passenger side of the inner frame rail.
