Hi Lee
I've noticed the conflicting info as well I start out with 10 qts, with not quite 2 in the filter , balance in the engine , run and pump up the filter/ warm the engine and check the dipstick I usually add but not a full qt.
So I guess that makes it between 10 and 11 qts
My other vehicles are just as weird as to correct oil capacity.
I have a JXD Herc. that takes 8 1/2 qts and to get the correct oil level you have to run the engine till warm, shut down , and then check the dip stick before the oil filter drains back down into the crank case.
Hope this helps
John
