Clearance on steering rot

Post by rikgerards »

Hallo Guy's

I have a question: the connection rod between the left and right front wheels for steering. See picture

Image

There is some clearance between the fork and rest of the wheel. Is this just a matter of tightening the nut and bolt? Or is there a need to replace? Is this just the nut and pin.

Thanks for your advice.

Rik

Hi Rick

It depend where the clearance is... is it sideways or can you move it
up and down.

Sideways can only be repaired with a new bushing and a new bolt if this one shows wear, but first check your manual for the tolerances.

Up and down clearance is not a problem, only be sure the nut and bolt are
tightend.

Best regards,

Corné
