Hi all
My restoration has reached a stage where the cost is about to kick in and would be most grateful for some advice/guidance and/or opinions.
I about about to spend $900 on a new and complete wiring loom from http://www.vintagewiringofmaine.com/index.htm for my truck. Has anyone purchased a wiring loom from these people and if so, how was it? any problems fitting, connecting up etc? http://www.vintagewiringofmaine.com/index.htm
HT leads question: Does anyone know what the caps that fit to the spark plugs were made of? i.e. bakerlite or rubber?
Does anyone know where I can source the anti-squeak parts, all mine are perished.
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.
Many thanks & kind regards
Jason

I agree with Jim 100% and the booklet of instructions that is included makes the harness easy to install even for a novice. The harness is "period correct" with all connectors and wires to rebuild all of your lites as well. The cloth covering and loom is the same as original also.
The spark plug ends are Brass and the wires are "laquered" (sp) I found my complete set thru vendors listed in "Hemmings Motor News "
Jim Carter parts probably has them as well.
The rubber parts you will need to locate thru various vendors Joel Gopan has some, Jim Carter has others, and Restoration Specialties also has a few avail.
Hope this helps

Thanks for the advice John, that is excellent.
I would have never considered brass for the plug caps. For some reason I had bakerlite in mind as I had seen them on other WWII vehicles. At least I know what i'm looking for now and hopefully through the names you've mentioned I can track some (and the anti-squeak parts) down.
When the truck is complete, I will be posting some before and after pictures, but i'm sure they will be a few more queries before then.
Best regards
Jason
