I am almost ready to declare victory over axle leaks.
A friend of mine found a modern GM axle vent that works quite well and does not hold pressure inside the housing causing some seals (pinion and axle) to pass gear oil.
This new one is a simple plastic vent and is only a couple bucks apiece.
This is the GM number I believe 15771000 f-vent so32f
You need to run it into a 1/4" pipe fitting to make some threads on it so it will screw in. This is easy
My cargo CCKW rear rear pinion has stopped leaking completely!
