M211 bed?? Not sure

I need some info on replacing a wooden bed in a M211(I believe this is the bed from the pics on this site, but am not sure). The bed is now on a 1952 Chevy 3800.. I know the length is 107 inches, and I believe the lumber needs to be cut to a full 1 inch in thickness, but what is the width? And what type of wood was used?? This bed did not have any of the metal runners seperating the wood in the bed. We've had it since 1957.. Any help appreciated.. Thanks

Me four- M211 beds were all steel with wooden racks/seats.
