dynamo field coil resistance

I would kindly ask some helpful soul to measure field coil resistance for 6V, 40Amp dynamo, Mine shows around 0,5 Ohm which is rather low, The workshop which is going to remanufacture coil has some own idea what resistance should be but having true reading from the real thing would help
