It is the Bypass Hose from the Waterpump to the Thermostat Housing. The original is 3/4" ID and 1 3/4" long. The original is made of Straight 3 Ply Hose and not the Rubber Heater Hose variety. Gates 24212 Green Stripe Straight Hose is what is available, it comes in a 3' Length. The straight Greenstripe variety will last longer than Hearer Hose, and is safer. I keep it in stock and cut off pieces for my loyal customers that want quality. Same goes for the sections of 1 1/2" lower Radiator Hose. No matter what you do use, always use a fresh piece when installing a waterpump or replacing your Cylinderhead.
