HARDEST TO FIND PART-OPEN CAB MODELS-REWARD OFFERED
The weatherstrip located between the Dashboard and the lower tube that the windshield pivots on. I have not found one in 23 years of searching. GM 2181072 is the Part number.

I don't have one on my truck. If you don't have it there are probably not anymore left anywhere, Joel.

They are a unique shape that allows the windshield to fold, while staying in place. The outer windshield frame must be removed to get at it, mine was deteriorated beyond saving. One could stuff Hardware store variety weatherstrip in there, the type with the stickum on one side, and it would probably stay. The Original weatherstrip had a pear shaped cross section and some sort of waterproof fabric coating. It probably exisists, but I can see how a surplus dealer would not recognise it, as it was not something that made the truck run. The only way I can describe it is to look for something pear shaped that is approximately 3/8"-1/2" thick at the major cross section that has a woven fabric coating, that matches the distance between the windshield hinges. It keeps out the wind and water from the cab at that area.
I notice the difference when in those rare instances I get caught in the rain.
Now there is rumor that this stuff is falling off shelves in overseas locations.
Reward Offered.
