It seems that we as a group really don't have much info for the care and repair of a WWII GMC 270's engine.
Not concerned with external differences.. just the most common repair parts for an overhaul, repair.
So far the differences I have been able to find are:
WWII 270
Used domes cylinders and pistons
Used 'small' intake ports
Directly after the war the 270 used domes pistons but the heads were 'large port'
Late 50's the 270 went to flat pistons with 'large ports'.
Seems like the half ton and up GMC trucks/vans were the recipients for the 270s.
Post war 270's differances.
