I sent my hydrovac in to be rebuilt but they said they could not rebuild it because it is too old. What do you guys do? Do you have yours rebuilt somewhere or do you put a new one in? I do have a rebuild kit but the company said there still is no guarantee that they will be able to rebuild it and if they can, they may have to resleeve the cylinder because it may be pitted.
What do I do?

Nick, it aint rocket science. If you can rebuild a truck, you can rebuild a 'vac. Take it apart .....carefully, clean everything, and fit the rebuild kit. You'll soon see if the bore is pitted, then take it from there.
My guess is the shop aint seen one either!
What model 'vac is it?

It is some work to get it in and not hit any driveshafts, but it is a lot newer unit that they are still rebuilding
