Took the head off the ol GMC today. Looked pretty good :(

Was hoping for a split gasket or something obvious but it looks rather good.

The only thing that looks 'wrong' is that all the spak plugs are carmel colored/glazed... I would not expect them to change color.

It does look like the #1 exhause rod was replaces.... way to new.

My guess is that that one of the oil rings has failed... but not sure on what cylinder. Leak down test was non conclusive.
