I am sure this has been asked before, but I could not find a topic on this subject.

What is the definative answer as to the modern part number for the clutch release bearing assembly for CCKW's?

One of the trucks that I am working on has a release bearing with it. There are no part numbers on it. I know it's measurements, but I need to confirm that it is the correct one for the truck.

Thank you,

Ron

Ron, I pulled this from my saved notes but I dont know if it helps. I used the part # BCA1377C. Have a notion my friendly NAPA man plucked the first TO bearing he found for the civilian 6 bolt patter Joel refers too???

There is only one choice for the CCKW if it has its original recessed flywheel (4 bolts at the crankshaft), it is the BCA 1377C or equivalent in other brands. They are not cheap. I do not get into conversions, but if your engine has the later civilian 6 bolt flywheel(at the crankshaft) that is not the recessed flywheel, then it may well use the short TO bearing. I stick to factory stock, and leave the improvising up to the imagination of the owner.
