The GMC CCKW

There are a couple of posts on the "Set 7" system attached to CCKW's.

Does anyone have any good close-up pictures (besides what is already been posted) of the chain fall unit on the setup.

I understand that many of the units are post war french. I would like to see pictures of both so as to identify the difference for collectors who might want to acquire one.

Hi Bill ,The winch block on my No 7 set is not original ,it is an International
1 1/2 ton winch block.The rest of the steel work is original Carnige USA stamped.
I wish I could find a manual which covers the use and or installation of the Set 7 but as yet have not even found a mention of one.

Maybe someone will come up with something eventually !!!!!!!.

I have loads of close up pictures of the winch I have if they are needed

this is a french one... I have an original one in my shed... but no pic at the moment.
