It's winter time and I'm planning to give my CCKW a little bit of care. I ordered some parts from Wildenberg. I've got French-made AC 45 Spark Plugs, could somebody please tell me the correct electrode gap? Are these plugs recommended?

Greetings, Arthur

Hi Authur
The correct plug for the GMC 270 was the AC 44 they are no longer avaliable from parts store but you can still find them on Ebay , The AC 45 plugs will work but are a little hotter on the heat range. The correct cap is .025

Thanks Jim. I guess AC45 are not ideal, but they will be better than the Nippon Denso plugs the previous owner had fitted. I think some of the truck's rough idling might be down to them and bad plug wires.

So what spark plugs are still being manufactured that are close equivelents to the AC 44 sparkplug?

Hi Arthur you say your truck is idling rough is that correct??? have you changed the plugs?? is it still rough?? if so she might be and i say might be drawing in to much air?? i had the same changed plugs, checked timing ,compression test, carb etc then found intake gasket not sealed right.......to test this just spray wd40 around intake and listen for engine note change good luck
