Hi Gus

Universal and Wallace Wade both run ads in MVM.

Wallace Wade is in your neck of the woods so shipping should be the cheapest.

I think the prices are in the $135.00 range

Hope this helps

Tire suppliers

Post by MAJ G. Miskovsky »

Thanks for the info.

I called Wallace Wade and they wanted $158 plus flaps and tubes.

Nelson's are cheaper and throw in the flaps for free.

Kind of wierd, total cost with shipping to San Antonio, Texas is cheaper from Nelsons in Columbiana, Ohio, than it is from Wallace Wade just North of me in Dalllas!

I saw a string not too long ago about Denman NDTs having a lower profile than the WWII originals?

thanks

Old Wade has gone up since this time last year. Tire, tube and flap was $150.00 about 18 months ago.
I don't know about higher profile as I am happy with the Demans. As long as they drive OK and don't go flat I am happy. :D
It is strange that the freight would be cheaper but then sometimes interstate commerce rates are cheaper than intrastate commerce rates due to federal regulations vrs. state regulations.

I have been running Denmans too. I have bought about 18 of them. I like them because they are always available year after year. I get 4-5,000 miles out of the fronts and 30,000 out of the rears.

Always use new tubes as they will be on there for a loooong time!

Hi John, I bought 11 tires from Coker and I think I payed under $2000 for everything, tires, flaps, tubes and shipping. They were worth every penny.

Thanks

I got a set of 6 from Wallace Wade 4 to 5 years ago with no problems at all .
I'm not to happy with the sidewall markings but at the time what choice did we have.
Now with the Firestone sidewall avail. maybe I can bury the STA marked sidewalls on the inners of both the Chevy and the CCKW and have a more original look :D if the overall dia. is the same.

Thanks again

I have bought about 14 Denmans over the years.

You will find that you get about 4-5 k miles from the fronts and about 30k
miles from the rears.

DO NOT rotate tires. The backs MUST be a matched set as it is in 8WD
all the time. Keep replacing the fronts.
