Thanks as that is good info. Magneto repair is a real speciality and generally found only in the aviation field and because they have to work to FAA specs costs are high.

Mags are not that difficult to work on. I have fixed numerous magnetos
On hit and miss engines also on old dozers. 9 times out of ten the problem is caused form moisture or a bad wire.So play around with it a bit before seening it of for a rebuilt.
