manifold question

Hi i m changing my manifold and have one missing pilot ring in the inlet manifold ....Will this be a problem if using a sealing compound??? Has any one any idea s????

Kevin they're as cheap as chips, Rex Ward has them. Its not worth the bother NOT too.
My experience has been that they are vital.

I misplaced one, and the advice I recieved was that they MUST be fitted.
So i ordered another one.
I also used " Loctite Extra Copper Silicon" high temp orange exhaust
manifold paste and have had no leaks 7 years later.

Many thanks guys , have fitted new locating ring and used high temp gasket sealant ,, she runs sweet and on song now .. did have leaky inlet and drawing in to much air . she did not like that . many thanks once more
