To my knowledge the banjo axles are not limited slip and lockers are not avail. In the 50's I think locking hubs were avail but I have yet to see them , some months ago a 1 1/2 ton Chevy was for sale in Oregon( I think ) and in the vehicle descripton the front axle was equipped with hubs, but I don't know the whereabouts of the truck now.
You can neuter the axle by drilling out the front axle drive flanges or by making blank flanges.
All the info you need is in the manuals ( exploded views )

I hope I've answered your questions

banjo axle strip down
Hi,
If you are stripping down your Banjo axle, pay special attention to the inner oil seals..the ones deep inside the axle tube.
The one that is deep inside the long axle tube is very difficult to remove,
When I stripped rebuilt my Banjo front, I knocked it out from inside the dif housing,
using an appropriate large socket and some long extensions...the dif has to be removed first of course.
There are several other oils seals in the strip down process.
You dont want your newly rebuilt front banjo axle leaking dif oil..it ruins the front brake lining
Ps..that Cookie issue is a nuisance..I have to delete it every time I try to logon to this site.
regards tony
