Par 108.c:Position fan blades on water pump hub with straight edge of blades toward radiator-curved edges toward engine.(TM-9-801)
I didn't see the straight & curved edges.

Note the direction of rotation, the blade will have the straighter side facing the direction of rotation. It will pull the air through the radiator. The trailing edge has the notch at the tip.
Reason for the unsymmetrical spacing is harmonics, it reduces the fan noise.

You can compare it with the illustrations in the TMs. Not the direction of rotation of the engine and remember that the fan pulls the ait through the radiator. The longer edge of each blade is the leading edge.
