Paint the master cylinder?

I have a new master cylinder for my truck. Should I give it a coat of paint before I install it?

Yes, they get quite rusty if you don't at least prime it

I agree with Steve⦠Brake parts rust quickly. I use a 2 component OD paint that supports brake fluid on all my brake parts: wheel cylinders, master cylinder and hydrovac :

Well that settles it. I will get some brake part paint.

i always try and paint a part when I OH or replace, then I can tell I have done the job on it
