Does anyone know if there are any CCKWs still in military service somewhere in the world? If not when did they retire the last ones?

Thanks!
Daniel

I read somewhere that they are still in service in Taiwan and the Phillipines. But I am not sure. Needs further investigation.

In 1983 I was at SECO (formerly Southeastern Equipment) and they were rebuild and prepping a bunch of CCKW open cab cargo to go to El Salvador... :( They were having a civil war at that time...

I saw a clip on the TV a couple of years ago, from the Phillipines, showing a current troop movement.

I only glimpsed it.

what got my attention was the vehicles had rounded guards.

so that would rule out M35 etc.

they looked like CCKW to me, and cause of the rounded front guards, I cant think of what else they possibly could have been.

a person I know, who is a filipina, who saw my CCKW, told me that there were still heaps of them working the sugar plantations, but i did not regard her as a reliable witness, as she was a lady
