Weight of a single tire?

Post by SpookyDad »

Does anyone know what a single tire weighs? I am trying to figure out shipping costs.

Thanks

I would say about 30Kg (= about 60 pounds) but I never weight them....

Tire Weight

Post by Cat Man »

The Military Tire Manuals give all sorts of data but don't give a weight, but with Mr. Google's help we found several variations.

Looks like a military 7.50X20's go between 65 and 70 LBS depending on make and number of plys.

New NDT Denman 14 plys are listed at 65 LBS.
Other similar 20" tires like 9.00 and 8.25 sizes were all in the 68 and 69 LBS range.

One ad shows Military 7.50X20 4 Ply at 31 LBS which I think is a misprint.

I'd say use 70 LBS each as a shipping weight to be safe.
