374750-3rd Series Hydrovac

Post by PlainJaneDoe »

We are needing a 374750-3rd Series Hydrovac for our SWB CCKW. We would also like to find the Mod kit. Any suggestions?. Even a template for the brackets would help as I can make them myself. Trying to keep as original as possible. (BUT SAFE TOO!)
Joel! Do you still have these? I replied to an old post of yours from 2005, not sure if you got it.

Thanks to any who can help!

How much are you looking to spend? My truck is a conversion so I am not concerned with being 100% original. I can replace mine with one of the ones VoV has.

I just rebuilt mine. I am 98% certain it is ready to go. There is one washer that wasn't included in the rebuild kit but there were other minor differences as well.

Send me a PM if you are interested.

Thanks Spooky!
I will keep this as an option. It is the 374750 that you have?

It was only the vacuum hook-up that was the problem. I won't sell it unless it works correctly or do a complete disclosure on what I believe to be wrong with it.

The price will reflect its' condition. I still have $105 in a brand new rebuild kit in it.

Q. Are there any modification brackets that go between the bad and the original brackets?

Opps!
I meant, do you have the brackets that go between the VAC/Hydrovac and the original mounting brackets on the truck.
I sent the last message from my phone.

I have two brackets. The front is a simple square block that effectively drops the original mounting hole about 2" straight down. The rear bracket is a bent piece of bar stock that can be seen in this picture. This picture was taken before I rebuilt it.

My 3rd series is held onto the frame in a different manner. I will try and take some photos this weekend. My rear bracket is very different - guessing my might be the original way they were set up. It is plate that attaches to the rear of hydrovac and then bolts to another plate coming off the frame.

Thanks ThunderCat!
That does sound right. From what I understand, when they switched over to the 3rd series, they made front and rear mod brackets that attached to the original frame brackets. The original front bracket should be rivited to the frame and the rear bolted.
Any pix would definitely help!
Thanks
